Hi everyone! This month should be called the “touring” month. During June, we went to both the Coors factory and Boulder Ice Cream. The Coors tour was rather interesting. We think it might have been Asian day since every tourist was Asian. Of course it’s no big deal, just something observed that made us wonder if there was a group touring like we were around the area. The Coors tour was pretty lame in comparison to the Budweiser one in Fort Collins. There was no tour guide for the Coors tour and overall, left us wondering how a company that size could have such a piss poor tour. I wouldn’t recommend it–go to the Budweiser tour and have a lot more fun.

Our other free tour of Boulder Ice Cream, located in…wait for it…Boulder, CO, was great. We’ve never had Boulder Ice Cream, but we certainly came away with some! They make some really great butter cream ice cream and everyone we’ve shared it with loves it as well. The tour was pretty small-time, but the people were friendly and we got to hang out in the twenty-degree-below freezer. The ice cream comes out very hard and tastes great. Needless to say, it’s not for the diet conscious.

Haley Pitching Softball

Brianna got her ears pierced this month. Up to this point, she really has had no interest in doing this. We think that the combination of turning six soon and moving on to first grade prompted her to make the grown-up move to get her ears done. So, after mentioning it in Macy’s, we went over to Claire’s and got them done. She didn’t pinch a tear and looks very pretty with her teensy ears pierced.

T-Ball and Softball are still going on. We’re a little concerned about Haley’s softball team’s ability to hit the ball. Our last game only lasted two innings in which 6 girls got to bat–Haley was not one of them. Pissed. Some of the girls just stand there terrified–for Christ sake parents, work with your girl!!! The practices are somewhat worthless and I can see Haley losing interest due to boredom. I know, we bitch, but are not coaching. I reckon we will need to start coaching more in order to get a quality season on just about any rec sport we have the kids involved with. The last few have simply SUCKED.

Our neighborhood school that the girls will be attending in the fall is nearing completion. It looks real nice, seems to have a good program and is right around the corner from our house. All pluses! Haley had a 5th grade meet and greet last Saturday and seemed to enjoy it. Several of her friends are going there this fall so she will know a few kids already. We think Brianna is excited to go as well because she will have her first full day of school when she starts first grade in the fall.

The job situation is still the same–basically, we’re losers and no one will hire us. Very motivational. Liz has had a couple of interviews and wound up not getting the job due to some STUPID things (not mentioning the version of software she’s used and lack of stability in job history even though there are only two jobs listed for the last 7 years). I’ve had a couple of interviews and am waiting to hear back. Both are in the Tech Center–right where I used to work at Assurity. I’m not looking forward to continue working in technology, nor am I excited about driving almost 100 miles per day, but whatever. It it gets us stable again, so be it.

I’m still going to school and knocked out 6 credits already. After the first week of July, I will have another 3 done. On June 28, I started at CSU’s Global Campus–100% online classes from CSU. I’m taking 6 credits now through them as well. By the end of the year, I should need around 50 credits to graduate so things are moving right along on the school front. I will be pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business with concentrations in both Management and Human Resources. After I pay all my money for the piece of paper, I may go after my masters and get an MBA. We’ll see…

Brighton Ass Crack Update

For those of you who know us, you understand that we seem to get frequent treats of people’s ass cracks. This month’s edition features two rotund women who thought it best to squat in front of everyone and wink at us with their brown eyes. GROSS!!!! We hope you enjoy it as much as we did…
